The Challenge of Switching Tennis Coaches
As I stood on the court, racket in hand, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey I've had with my current coach. After countless hours of practice, hard work, and some unforgettable moments, I've made the decision to switch coaches. It’s a choice that feels necessary but comes with its own challenges. Over time, I’ve realised that my growth has hit a bit of a plateau. I’ve been craving new techniques and fresh perspectives—something my old coach, while supportive, couldn't provide anymore. Making the decision to move on was tough, but I know it’s time to seek a different approach to improve my game. Telling my coach was difficult. They’ve put in a lot of effort to help me, and I felt a twinge of guilt in stepping away from that relationship. Still, I know it’s the right decision for my development.
