Skin-care routine

Hey there, friends! 🌟 Today, I want to share my exciting journey to find the best skincare routine for me as an 11-year-old. As I’m growing up, I’ve noticed that my skin sometimes gets a bit oily or dry, and I thought it was time to give it some extra love! 💖 Step 1: Research Time! 📚 First things first, I jumped on the internet to learn about skincare. I found out that taking care of our skin is super important, even at my age! I read some awesome articles and watched fun videos that explained different skin types: oily, dry, and combination. I discovered that I have combination skin, which means some parts of my face can be oily while others can be dry.  Step 2: The Essentials 🧴 I learned that a good skincare routine doesn’t have to be complicated! Here’s what I decided to include: 1. Gentle Cleanser: I found a mild face wash that’s perfect for my skin type. It helps remove dirt and oil without being too harsh. 2. Moisturizer: I picked a lightweight moisturizer to keep my skin...

Setting Up Golu at Home This Navaratri: A Tradition of Art, Devotion, and Joy

Navaratri is here, and this year, I’m all set to bring a little extra sparkle to the festival by setting up my very own Golu display at home! If you’re not familiar with it, Golu (or *Bommai Kolu* in Tamil) is a delightful tradition where you set up a beautiful arrangement of dolls and figurines to celebrate the divine feminine during the nine nights of Navaratri. It’s a celebration of art, culture, and spirituality—and honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts of this festival. If you’re wondering how to set up your Golu at home, or just looking for some inspiration, join me as I share my process, from choosing the dolls to lighting up the display. Here’s a peek into how I’m making this Navaratri extra special! What is Golu, Anyway? For me, setting up a Golu isn’t just about decorating the house. It’s about connecting with centuries-old traditions and stories. In simple terms, Golu is a colorful display of idols, usually arranged on multiple steps or tiers. The dolls typically depict go...

The Challenge of Switching Tennis Coaches

As I stood on the court, racket in hand, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey I've had with my current coach. After countless hours of practice, hard work, and some unforgettable moments, I've made the decision to switch coaches. It’s a choice that feels necessary but comes with its own challenges. Over time, I’ve realised that my growth has hit a bit of a plateau. I’ve been craving new techniques and fresh perspectives—something my old coach, while supportive, couldn't provide anymore. Making the decision to move on was tough, but I know it’s time to seek a different approach to improve my game. Telling my coach was difficult. They’ve put in a lot of effort to help me, and I felt a twinge of guilt in stepping away from that relationship. Still, I know it’s the right decision for my development. What adds to this transition is the thought of leaving my friends Eshan, Niyathi, Vidhi and Darshan, who have been a great part of my experience on the court. We’ve shared...

St. Bedes Comp

My First Tennis Competition: A Journey of Nerves and Triumph Hey everyone! I just wrapped up my very first tennis competition, and I couldn't wait to share the experience with you all. From the moment I signed up, I knew it would be a mix of excitement and nerves, but nothing could quite prepare me for the roller coaster of emotions that unfolded over the weekend. The Build-Up In the weeks leading up to the competition, I felt a blend of anticipation and anxiety. I practised more than ever, focusing on my serve and footwork. Every time I stepped onto the court, I imagined the bright lights and the crowd cheering (even if it was just my parents watching from the sidelines!). Game Day When competition day finally arrived, my stomach was doing somersaults. I arrived early to soak in the atmosphere, watching players warm up. Their confidence was inspiring, but it also made me second-guess my own abilities. I tried to stay focused, visualising my best shots. The Matches My first match w...
